Audio Prompt

Audio prompt items are audio files that are ready to be played
over the phone. For fixed information, such as the location of
your business address, it is preferred to use audio files.
Compared with Text-to-Speech prompt items, audio items require
less computing power. This is even more so for multi-line systems.
Audio File Format
The standard audio format for global telephone network is PCM
8KHz, 16 bit, mono. You must use this format.
Audio Quality
You can use the following methods to create your audio file:
- Use Professional Recording
Studio
Professional recording studio
produces the best quality audio file. Nowadays, you can also hire
a professional online to produce your audio file for a reasonable
fee. For more information, please search Google for terms like
"voice talent".
Type in your text and have
Voicent TTS engine to generate your audio file. To find out about
the quality of the voice, please listen to any Voicent online
demo. To do so, please select Audio > Create audio by
Text-to-Speech... from the program main menu
Select Audio > Record Audio by
Phone... from the program main menu.
- Use Computer Microphone
to Record
Use Microsoft Sound Recorder or
other audio software to record your message. The problem with this
method is the recording quality. Computer microphones are very
sensitive to background noise.
