IVR Customize BroadcastBySMS Text Message
BroadcastBySMS has a built-in Message Designer that can handle a lot of simple customization tasks. However, it cannot be used for advanced customizations. This type of customizations are handled by IVR Studio.
To use IVR Studio for BroadcastBySMS, Start the program, select File > New > For BroadcastBySMS.
Design IVR Application For BroadcastBySMS
Once the new IVR application is started, IVR Studio automatically creates a top element. You can then add your call flow under the root element.
To access values of BroadcastBySMS columns (such as an Balance columne), you need to create or specify the column names in the root element. Select the root element named “BroadcastBySMS”, right click and select the
“properties” menu item, select the “BroadcastBySMS Column” tab. Click the New button to specify columns.
These values can then be used in customized text messages, output logs, etc. For example, in the prompt dialog window, you can select the “Balance”. For the outgoing text message, the actual text will be specific to each call, based on the Balance value in the column.
Deploy IVR Application
Once the design is finished, click the Deploy button to deploy the outbound IVR application to Voicent Gateway. Only deployed applications can be accessed by BroadcastBySMS program.
BroadcastBySMS Use IVR Application
Open Voicent BroadcastByPhone application, select New from the File menu, you can then select the newly designed and deployed IVR application for your outbound text message.
For existing call list, select Broadcast > Select Message… from the program main menu.
Advanced Customization For Developers
IVR Studio has a lot of built-in facilities for developers. One major part of the program is its “actions”, which allows an IVR application to dynamically access databases, CRM systems, SMTP email servers, web sites, Java programs and libraries, etc.
