Element and
Transition
An IVR call flow diagram consists of elements and transitions,
where elements are the graph nodes and transitions are the graph
edges. Voicent IVR Studio has the following elements:
-
Prompt Element
-
Choice Element
-
Speech Element
-
Digits Element
-
Record Element
-
Call Transfer Element
-
Jump Element
To access the properties of an element, right click on the
element and then select Properties menu item.
The element properties window contains at least 3 tabs. One for
general information such as name and transition. The other two
tabs are prompt and
action. All elements have the following
properties:
- general information
- type
- prompts
- actions
- associated transitions
A transition links one element to another, it is an
edge in the call flow diagram. During the execution of a call
flow diagram, a transition causes the system to set the active
element to the element that is linked by the transition. With
the exception of a transition from a jump element, the direction
of a transition is from a parent element to a child element. In
order for a transition to happen, the transition condition must
be met. |
