Key Responsibilities

• Administer company systems, including different types of servers, hypervisors, operating systems, middleware, and company’s customer facing cloud application
• Perform installation of new systems, provisioning, maintenance and retirement of production equipment as necessary
• Monitor production environment, troubleshoot failures, compensate for and fix hardware and software faults
• Develop automation tools for normal, repetitive administration tasks
• Create/maintain documentation of solutions used (architecture diagrams, procedures, etc.)
• Implement changes during off hours maintenance windows
• Participate in on-call rotation

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of Linux/Unix System Administration experience preferably RHEL/CentOS
• 2 years JBoss AS experience
• Strong experience supporting mission critical 24x7 production/cloud environments
• Solid scripting skills Perl/Shell/Python/Ruby
• Configuration management automation tool (Puppet preferred) desired
• OS and Applications hardening knowledge
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Great understanding of cloud, web & enterprise technologies
• Capable of independently managing complex projects and preparing detailed build / test plans to implement new technologies/configurations
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
