Overview
Provides market insight, account prospective and product expertise throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, publishing and maintaining Product roadmap in collaboration with Strategy team.
- Liaises with key stakeholders (internal, external, customer) to understand market requirements and translate them into both Market Requirement Documents (MRD) and detailed product specifications with Product Requirements Documents (PRD’s): Epics, User Stories, Features.
- Responsible for all necessary product business cases, MRD/PRD’s, leading the products through Product Development Lifecycle Process (PDLC) referred as Time-to-Market (TTM) process, and go-to-market strategies needed to support product positioning in the target markets.
- Examine industry trends, customer requirements and feedback as well as competitive offerings to prioritize product functionality and jointly develop feature content and product release schedules.
- Prime relationships with third party vendors required for products owned.
- Monitors progress toward meeting established product plan goals and provides status and reports to executive management.
- Develops business and technical requirement documents, including use cases and user personas that can be translated into technical specifications.
- Works closely with product development to ensure translation into accurate technical specifications.
Participates in product design reviews during development and QA phases to endure achievement of requirements in terms of both feature/function and quality.
- Supports Pre-Sales and Sales by providing sales support for key client deals.
- Monitors progress toward meeting established product plan goals and provides status and reports to executive management.
- Participates in product launch readiness activities, including field enablement training encompassing; training material development, sales collateral development and direct field and account education.
- Provides recommendations on any needed adjustments to meet business plan goals.
- Builds Product Go-To-Market strategies along with marketing and business development teams.
- Support proper testing, documentation, and user training of product features while enabling the roll-out of release to Beta, Controlled Release, and General Availability.
- Deliver product subject matter expertise, advice, direction, and challenge resolution for sales opportunities through presentations and discussions of current and future product release that drive customer acquisition and revenue generation.
- Provide post-sales product management support, prioritization, and issue resolution as needed to ensure the customer’s ongoing realization of success and continued productive status.
- Assist sales in product presentations, capturing customers, assessing products to meet customer needs and in preparing detailed product specifications and proposals.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 5 years of experience in job offered or in a related position.
- Software Product development lifecycle managing multiple products.
- Defining and implementing Software Product development lifecycle processes in both large enterprise and small business.
- Analyzing quantitative and qualitative product requirements to define product solutions;
- Applying business analysis techniques to optimize software product development investments;
- Defining and implementing Software Product go-to-market techniques;
- Software development methodologies, specifically Agile Development practices;
- Developing and/or implementing contact center solutions including contact center infrastructure (automatic call distribution, interactive voice response, etc.)
- Management applications with leading enterprise suppliers (Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Amdocs)
